The article states that it is made of "one piece of hardwood". They were only referring to other ancient bow finds when they mentioned yew.Could have been elm.... grain looks like it coud be ring...

G, TBB talks about the bog bows as being mostly elm, the molly was elm so were other early norsk bow recoveries.

Forgot to mention that in our local forum we call this bow "Åndfonnebuen", or "the Åndfonne bow" after the nearest village. I can post some more pictures and measures.
